A fireplace opening should feel intentional, not approximate.

We build flush inset doors, fine-mesh screens, arched fronts, clean modern grids, corner and wraparound fireplace doors, and freestanding screens when the room calls for a movable piece — each measured, drawn, forged, and finished for the room around it.

What we build
  • Inset fireplace doors and screens
  • Arched, rectangular, and corner openings
  • Fine mesh, glass-panel, and open iron designs
  • Freestanding fireplace screens
  • Measured and drawn to your opening
  • High-temperature finish options
Signature designs

Made to the room, not pulled from a shelf.

A fireplace door can disappear into the architecture, become an old-world forged detail, or read crisp and modern. We draw each screen or door to the opening, the finish, and the room around it.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

What should I ask for if I want the built-in kind?
Ask for inset fireplace doors or an inset fireplace screen: a custom steel frame fitted to the opening, often with mesh or glass depending on the fireplace and the design.
Will an inset screen fit my fireplace exactly?
Yes — inset screens and doors are made to the measured dimensions of your opening so they sit flush, not approximate.
Can you build corner or wraparound fireplace doors?
Yes. For corner or two-sided fireplaces, we can draw an L-shaped or wraparound steel frame so the doors meet the architecture instead of looking like an afterthought.
Freestanding or inset — which should I choose?
Inset reads architectural and becomes part of the surround. Freestanding reads more like a movable decorative object. We can make both, but the strongest custom work is usually measured to the opening.
Can the finish match my other ironwork?
A fireplace door or screen can be finished to match doors, railings, lighting, or furniture elsewhere in the house so the hearth belongs to the same family.
